Facebook, the all consuming Facebook! Please tell me that I am not the only one who feels that they spent way too much time on that stupid site? That I’m not the only one who feels they waste valuable time, scrolling through posts, watching people update about their lives. Please tell me I am not the only one?
I’m quitting Facebook, because Facebook has become to personal for me. Facebook is destroying my relationships, Facebook is taking me away from the real world, and putting me in a fantasy world where I am left to my own understanding, where I am left to determine if someone is being serious, or just “playing”. You can’t tell someone’s tone, or meaning behind a post (this goes for texting too). I can’t tell if someone is mad, happy, sad. I can’t tell if someone is talking about me, or not talking about me. I can’t tell!!! I am left to my own assumptions.
So if I don’t have it. I do not have to worry about it. If I don’t have it I’m not left to guess what someone is really trying to say, or not to say, or playing about, or whatever. And you know I really don’t need to know what someone ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner ,or snack. I do not need to know if so and so is eating at Red Lobster, or Taco Bell. I don’t need to know if someone is frustrated with work, or happy in their relationships! If you want me to know, call me. Come out here and see me. Invite me to meet for coffee, lunch, or go for a walk. If you want to know about me, pick up your phone and CALL me! Use your voice! Texting is nice, but I also take texting like Facebook. I read into them, and it’s not always good. I thing.
